I've always loved the way Claire places herself among the seasons, among the landscapes and their inhabitants that have nourished her life.  So few singer-songwriters give me the feeling that they know the world-that-feeds-them with the intimacy she has.  I love the way Claire gives a song: clear, open, without gimmickry, and with a wide open heart.

The first time I heard Claire sing, I got goose-bumps as I was reminded of the late, great Kate Wolf.  Claire’s voice is clear as a bell, melodic as a thrush, and her heart is as wide as the open sky.  Like Kate, Claire’s music embodies a soul deeply connected to the natural world.  Her voice comforts me, and she sings with a heart that radiates calm and joy.  Her medicine is something we could all use more of these days.
